Sourdough Waffles

Sourdough Waffles.jpg

You are going to love these sourdough waffles!

No sweeteners are included in the original recipe, but a TBS of a sweetener makes the waffles a bit better.

Recipe can be cut in half with 1 or 2 eggs.
The recipe makes 5 - 6 full round or square waffles.

Ingredients
• Mature Starter - 2 cups
• 3 eggs
• 1/4 cup - oil
• Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
• Salt - 1/2 tsp
• Sugar or honey - 1 TBS

Directions
1. Whip the eggs well and combine all ingredients except the baking soda.
2. Heat the waffle iron, then add the soda, mix well.
3. You'll see the reaction between the acidic sourdough starter and the baking
soda which makes for a light, bubbly batter. This creates light, crispy
waffles
4. Give the soda and batter a couple of minutes to react. Cook and enjoy!
